Remember me. 

(Minute one:)
Remember our walks in the park, how I picked up the leaves and threw them at you. Remember me running away. Remember the laughter, the autumn skies and sunsets, the way I linked my fingers with yours like a criss cross safety net that said… Not forever. But almost. Remember it the way that flowers remember to bloom every spring, the way that I’ll always return to you - not in person; I’m too far away, but in thought, in spirit, in hope. 

(Minute two:) 
Remember my secrets, how I gave them all to you. Remember how I took apart my pride, inch by inch, piece by piece, I put my shield in the paper shredder and said, ‘here. I’m naked.’ I said, ‘ask me a question,’ you said, ‘who was your first kiss?’, you said, ‘have you ever been in love?’, you said, ‘will you be my girlfriend?’

(Minute three:)
Remember the first time I said I loved you. It was before I actually said ‘I love you’. Remember when I, cheeks pink, whispered, 'I actually write a lot about you’. Remember that time you said, 'tell me’ and I said, 'okay’. Remember me in the dark: 'I love you I love you, I love you so much I don’t know what to do’. Do you remember your reply? You said, 'I know. Me too.’
