When “pro life” (aka pro fetus) stop acting like 95% of abortions take place during third trimester instead of within the first 6-9 weeks of conception (aka when fetus is literally the size of a finger nail, often smaller), then I’ll listen. When they stop using pictures of week 30+ embryonic growth instead of week 6-9, then I’ll listen (news flash, it looks more like an alien than recognizable human being, if at all looking human), then I’ll listen. When they actually start adopting kids and not just saying “oh yeah…. Adopt!” then I’ll listen. As an adoptee, SHUT THE FUCK UP about saying “just give your baby to an orphanage :D” when our orphanages (including international and domestic) are already FUCKING overflowing with kids, and past age 2, your chances hit the FUCKING floor.

Ok, so let’s talk about the facts. Over 90% of abortions are performed before the 13th week. Now, let’s look at how a fetus develops in the womb. At 8 weeks, babies I’m the womb start sucking their thumbs and responding to sound. There is even building evidence to suggest that they are dreaming!!! But here is where it gets juicy. At 8 weeks, they have been shown to recoil from pain. You do realize what that means, right? That means they have a developed nervous system!!!! At 11 weeks, a fetus has their own fingerprints!!! For goodness sake, open your eyes!!!! They are human beings!!!! I encourage you to watch an abortion being performed via a sonogram. You can actually see the baby scream. It is sickening to think that people are still willing to defend this. People who still defend abortion by dehumanizing the child inside, only dehumanize themselves.

You say “let’s talk about facts” and then go on to say literally nothing factual.

Fetuses do not recoil in pain or scream in the womb. What you’re referencing here is a  pro life propaganda video from the eighties that has been debunked over and over and over again. I seriously cannot believe the amount of pro lifers I encounter on tumblr who still buy this shit. According to one of the sources I listed, fetuses do not feel pain until the third trimester and at that point in a pregnancy, an abortion is only done on fetuses incompatible with life or to save the life of the pregnant person.

What you’ve said about fetal nervous system development is completely false.  Please don’t spread blatant misinformation and talk about things you clearly know nothing about just to guilt and manipulate people.
